Yeah, I know. I'm terrible at this blogging thing.

Here's where we stand so far. Desi has had her final reconstructive surgery, she's on the mend and can't wait to start playing indoor soccer again. She's extremely strong has been an inspiration to me over this past year.

Where do we go from this point? That's a good question. She will of course have future visits with both her surgeon and oncologist. At some point she will have to take some form of chemotherapy which will inhibit her ability to have children, so for now we've decided to add a few more mouths to the McGee family prior to her beginning the treatment.

Life will go on; I'll finish school this spring and she'll continue being a wonderful wife and stay-at-home mother. We both understand that it is very possible that she will have to undergo another mastectomy to remove her left breast. At this point that even is in the distant future, we're simply ready for life to regain some normalcy.
